John Harvey (born in London, England, on December 21, 1938), winner of the Crime Writers’ Association Silver Dagger in 2004 for Flesh and Blood and the 2007 Crime Writers’ Association Cartier Diamond Dagger Award for a Lifetime’s Achievement in the Field; has published over 90 books under a variety of pen names but is most famous for his Charlie Resnick novels – career began in the 1970s when he wrote a number of pulp fiction books, including westerns
